I've been busy baking all types of goodies while I have been away from writing. Busy baking times are Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter - its coming up on the 31st of March (Taking orders now). I have had a two month rest period where I've been able to add to my baking collection and experiment with new and different things. Two biggies have been cupcakes and couture cakes - which I'll discuss with my next entry. I've really resisted getting into cupcakes because they are love (labor) intensive. Cupcakes are in fashion so I have jumped right in. I offer three sizes of cupcakes - Mini, Regular and Jumbo. I even have a pan which will allow me to make a giant-full sized cupcake as the one pictured here along with specialized pans like Mickey/Minnie Mouse - straight from my last visit to Orlando.
Cupcakes with swirls on top are great to eat, just about an equal portion of icing and cake no matter the size of the cupcake, but I have to take it up a notch or two and really decorate cupcakes. Here are some pictures of the way cupcakes have moved up in the world, no longer are they just for children's parties.
